Lifelong experience in the medical field.
Medical oncologist with 30+ years affiliated with the Erasmus University Medical Center & Cancer Institute, holding a full professorship in Genitourinary Oncology.
Over more than three decades I have been deeply involved in clinical cancer trial design and conduct — across germ-cell, urothelial, renal and prostate cancers, as well as gynecological and breast cancer research.
Alongside this, I have built 20 years of extensive experience chairing and serving on Data & Safety Monitoring Committees for industry studies in a broad variety of solid cancers.
Key roles have included:
- Former chairman of the EORTC Genito-Urinary Group's Chemotherapy Committee
- Founding and current chairman of the Dutch Uro-Oncology Study Group
- Member of the Academy of Europe
